Job Summary & Purpose:
To work as a member of a large scale software team developing products utilizing leading edge technologies and development practices. The position requires a motivated individual capable of transforming customer requirements into practical design solutions. You will work closely with customer-facing organizations, design units, project managers and verification units. Key deliverables include: feasibility studies, implementation sketchs, implementation proposals, design estimates and general investigations. The successful candidate will be expected to apply their skills to guiding the support and design units through complex problems. As well, the candidate will have the opportunity to shape the products roadmap.
Key Skills and Experience:
5-10 years in network/element management working in a Systems or Senior Designer role
Excellent communication skills
Extensive Experience with the following:
-Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM)
-Element Management System (EMS)
-Network Management System (NMS)
-Java
-Configuration Management
-Service Assurance
-Ericsson Broadband Products (EDA family)
-Graphical User Interface design (GUI)
-Data modeling, schema, XML
-Mediation
-Ingress
Understand product complexity and provide estimation of development costs
Experience of writing or analyzing software, telecoms specifications and requirements
In-depth knowledge of broadband network management products
Expert-level knowledge of Ethernet Data Technologies, customer requirements and expectations
Experience in Network planning and readiness of Ethernet and IP Domains
Experience in Service Provisioning and Service Assurance of Ethernet and IP Domains
OOAD techniques/Software development using Java/J2EE
Experience in relational databases
Open Systems technical competence is essential with several years experience preferred;
OSS operation and/or development experience a prerequisite
